Hello! My name is Rachel and I am a native English speaker from Norwich, England. I have a BA Education degree, and I have recently finished my Master’s in Social Science Research Methods (specialising in Education). My passion for education spans across all age ranges; I have worked with students in primary school, secondary school, and university. In my spare time, I like to watch/play football, knit, and travel. I also have a keen interest in reading a wide range of literature.

I am patient, empathetic, and I enjoy teaching. This makes me a teacher who approaches teaching English as a collaborative endeavour – one for all to enjoy, together – by delivering engaging and interactive lessons in a calm, friendly environment. Lessons are creative and incorporate a range of activities and discussions. You will be encouraged and supported along your language learning journey, receive tailored feedback and guidance, and grow your confidence in speaking and using English.

I also understand the challenges of learning and using a new language in different social and cultural settings, as I have been (for the past two years) learning and speaking Dutch with my Dutch partner and his family. This experience has taught me a lot about the broad range of adventures and challenges faced during language learning – with what I have learnt from this experience incorporated into my lessons and teaching practice.

My name is Adéla, and I am currently in my first year of master’s studies in Lower Secondary English Language Teaching. I have a bachelor’s degree in English Language for Education. I have a passion for English and everything related to it, such as podcasts, books, and movies. Some of my other hobbies include caring for plants, knitting, crocheting, and engaging in other hands-on activities.

Having experienced my fair share of stressful lessons as a student, my main goal is to create a comfortable and confident learning environment for my students. Hi, my name is Natalie. I grew up near Valašské Meziříčí in Czechia, and I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Language for Education. Currently, I’m studying the first year of my Master’s programme in English Language for Education at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University in Brno.
I teach English because I want to share the joy and confidence that comes from expressing yourself in another language. English plays a huge role in today’s world, and I want my students to be able to use it freely and enjoy it.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy dancing various styles, drawing, and watching cartoons. It helps me to stay creative and brings fun into everything I do. 😊.

When I started learning English, I often felt nervous about making mistakes and I’ve seen many others feel the same. That’s why I believe it’s so important to create a safe and friendly environment where you feel comfortable using English, no matter your level. Mistakes are not failures but they’re steps toward our progress.
I’m a very talkative person who enjoys discussing about all kinds of topics. To me, learning a language is about expressing your emotions, thoughts, and opinions freely (always politely, of course!).

Hi! My name is Eve Gardner and I am from the United States. My Czech parents migrated to America before I was born. I moved to the Czech Republic 5 years ago with my family. I have learned so much about Czech culture, traditions and really love the nature that surrounds us.

For the last four years, I have been privileged to help students, adults, doctors, veterinarians and others with their English. If you want to sound more natural when you speak, increase your vocabulary and take your English to the next level then I am the teacher for you. I enjoy speaking about everyday topics, am open to your topics of interest, and can help advance your speaking skills. I am friendly, trustworthy, and really enjoy meeting and speaking with people from all around the world.

Hello, my name is Alfie and I am a native English speaker. I grew up in a little village called Puddletown on the beautiful South West coast of England. I have an MA in Digital Music and Sound Art from the University of Brighton and I taught music production and sound installation there for 2 years before moving to Brno. My hobbies include making electronic music, painting, watching sci-fi/fantasy movies and cooking Japanese and Korean food, including frightening quantities of miso soup and kimchi!

I have taught lots of different students from many different backgrounds, so I know how important it is to let students lead the way. Our lessons will be dedicated to discovering what you like to learn and the ways you like to learn it, through relaxed discussion, games, engaging activities and a generally encouraging, low pressure learning environment. I will teach you vocabulary straight from everyday native English, and it’ll be great fun comparing Czech and English culture in our discussions. It’ll be so rewarding to see your confidence and fluency grow through our time together.

I’m always asking for your feedback and how you felt throughout the lesson, so that I can create a safe space for you to get confident in English.
